TALI, July 21, 2026 ~ The Government of Ghana, through the Ministry of Education and the Tolon District Assembly, has officially commenced the construction of a six-unit classroom block and a 12-unit toilet facility for Naa Abdulai School in Tali.

The project was formally launched at a sod-cutting ceremony held in the community on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, marking the beginning of efforts to improve educational and sanitation infrastructure at the school.

According to the DCE for Tolon, Mr. Seidu Briamah, at the construction site, the development is being implemented by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) and funded by the Government of Ghana in partnership with GETFund.

Luanga Lane Limited, a Tamale-based construction company, has been awarded the contract, while Ayoka Consult is serving as the project consultant.

The contractor is expected to complete the classroom block and accompanying toilet facilities within seven (7) months.

The new infrastructure is expected to provide a more conducive teaching and learning environment for pupils and teachers, while improving access to proper sanitation facilities on the school premises.

The project also forms part of the government’s broader effort to address educational infrastructure challenges and enhance the quality of basic education, particularly in underserved communities.

Community members and school authorities are expected to cooperate with the contractor and relevant agencies to ensure the successful and timely completion of the project.
