” I MISS AWAKO”-ANNOR WALKER

Head coach of 2 time Ghana premier league champions Accra Great Olympics coach, Annor Walker concedes the absence of ex-skipper Gladson Awako has greatly affected the teams performance in the 2021/22 league season. According to the Black stars B trainer, he was not happy when the former TP Mazembe and kpando hearts of lions player decided to leave the club and join city rivals Accra hearts of Oak.

However, when asked about whether he has missed the star player, the experience gaffer disclosed his presence and quality has been greatly missed, adding that the two time Ghana premier league champions would be in the race for the 2021/22 Ghana premier league crown had he stayed.

” I didn’t want Awako to leave Olympics to Hearts of Oak because I Wanted him to stay with Accra great Olympics” he said.

” I remember in Black Stars B camp we held a lot of conversation just to make him stay but his mind was with the Phobians,” he told Class FM in an interview.

With 3 matches to the end of the campaign, Olympics find themselves 9th on the league standings with 44 points haven recorded 11 wins, 11 draws and 9 losses with a goal difference of 3.
