Jinapo is fully prepared to pump money into Savannah region, we are winning all seats in 2024~ NPP youth

Some NPP youth in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency of the Savannah Region have hinted at the assurance from the honourable Samuel Abu Jinapor to help the NPP win a majority of the parliamentary seats in the Savannah region.

The group is of the belief that the Damongo MP will only be charitable to two seats namely Bole and Yapei/Kusawgu seats because of the respect he has for the two constituencies.

Even though there have been rumours about powerful NPP figures adopting and heavily funding various constituencies in the Northern and Savannah regions in 2024, it is reported that the Minister in Charge of Lands and Natural Resource has vowed to personally sponsor all the constituencies in the Savannah region during the 2024 general elections is will make sure spends hub cash in all areas.

The MP has already stated that the only constituency he may not “touch will be the Bole constituency due to great respect in has for someone there,” according to party members who talked to Radio Tamale.

The group made the remarks on April 18, 2023, following news that one of the steadfast National Democratic Congress (NDC) members and former NDC candidate for Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency executive publicly switched allegiance to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) at a ceremony held at the constituency party office in Sawla.

The NPP’s regional secretary, Mr Mohammed Issah, who was in charge of a team of regional executives, told the new member that the party would do everything in its power to make him feel at home.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) currently has 3 seats out of 7 seats in the Savannah Region for the first time in the 2020 elections. The seven constituencies within the Savannah region are Bole Bamboi, Damango, Daboya Mankarigu, Salaga North, Salaga South, Sawla Tuna Kalba and Yapei Kusawgu constituencies.

The NPP won the Damongo, Daboya, and Salaga North constituencies in terms of parliamentary elections. The parliamentary candidates that represented NPP in the 2020 elections were Abu Jinapor in Damango, Alhaji Asei Mahama in Daboya, Abdallah Iddi in Salaga North respectively.

Prior to the 2020 elections, the NPP had only one seat in the 2016 elections which was the Salaga South constituency.
