NDC has lost grounds in Northern region because of leadership – NDC’s vice chairman

“The hardworking and energetic youth are optimistic and hopeful that, the next regional Executives in the NDC party will work together for the interest of the party in the region”, these are words from T. T Kamara, Special Aide to Northern regional vice chairman.

According to him, “it’s important to state without any contradiction that the party in the region has lost grounds due the reasons best known to the leadership of the party in the northern region”.

He says, despite the internal wrangling within the National democratic Congress (NDC) in the Northern region, it is still possible for the party to regain grounds in the region after the 2022 branch, constituency as well as regional contest.

“The grassroots voice Will the priority of the next regional Executives of The party in the northern region since the contribution of the grassroots to the progress of the party in the region is great, the grassroots must be involve”…he said.

“Every dedicated and committed comrade in the national democratic Congress in the northern region should be worry about the retrogression of the party in the northern region”.

The views were contained in a statement released and signed, March 13, 2022 by the special aid to the NDC’s Northern regional vice chairman, Alhaji Rufai Vellim and copied to radiotamaleonline.com.

The Northern region which was previously touted as one of the strongholds of the National Democratic Congress can no longer boost of the title because of bad leadership in the region and that, if care is not taken the region will surely and automatically become the world bank of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

“The national democratic Congress will gain it’s feet and grounds in the northern region after the upcoming regional contest”.

For several months, there has been a form of ‘factional turmoil’ between supporters of the Minority leader in parliament, Haruna Iddrisu and that of NDC-aligned private contractor, popularly called Alhaji Fuzak over supremacy of the party in the region. Haruna Iddrisu, a.k.a Lawyer Aduna has been the undisputed face of the NDC in the Northern Region for so many years, a region in which he wields influence far beyond his age.

Now, it appears someone is after Lawyer Haruna Iddrisu’s crown in recent times following the emerging popularity of Alhaji Fuzak, a private road contractor who is fast gaining popularity among the NDC population and this is generating huge tension in the Northern Region.
