Head Coach of Accra Hearts of Oak Samuel Boadu has responded to recent comments made by board member of the club, Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe.
In a recent interview with Accra-based Angel FM, Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe divulged that he has no confidence in the club’s current technical team that is headed by Samuel Boadu.
He added that the team will need an experience technical team to do well in next season’s CAF Confederations Cup.
“I have a problem with the technical direction of the club, most of the players appear to be indisciplined in the team and are either aged or lazy,” he told Angel FM.
“I strongly have my doubt that the technical team can do well in Africa, Hearts of Oak is a big club and must always be in hand of a big coach like Attuquayefio. I believe the current technical team can’t carry us far”, He added.
The comments from the veteran football administrator hasn’t gone down well with a myriad of football followers who believe it is an attack on Samuel Boadu who has done incredibly well by winning five trophies for the club in less than two year.
However, Boadu believes it isn’t so and Nyaho Tamakloe has the right to sit him up.
“Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe is my father. No one should think he is attacking me but he has the right to straighten me so I sit up. Nothing bad about that comment. The technical team is young and still learning,” Boadu said on Asempa FM.
Boadu will be leading Hearts of Oak in the 2022/23 CAF Confederations Cup after winning the MTN FA Cup. The former Medeama gaffer will be hoping to make amends after enduring a torrid time in the previous campaign.
