Newly elected New Patriotic Party (NPP) Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye, has pledged to work towards making the party’s current flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, President of Ghana.

Dr. Okoe Boye made the commitment in a Facebook post, after securing a decisive victory in the Greater Accra Regional NPP elections, where he polled 488 votes against his opponent’s 173.

In a message thanking constituency executives for their support and participation in the election, Dr. Okoe Boye described the result as a clear and emphatic endorsement of his leadership.

He said his focus would now extend beyond the regional election, with efforts towards securing victory for Dr. Bawumia, the NPP’s flagbearer for the 2028 general election.

“We shall not rest until we make Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia President of the Republic of Ghana,” he said.

Dr. Okoe Boye also expressed gratitude to the Greater Accra constituency executives for their trust, encouragement and commitment throughout the campaign.

“Thank you, Greater Accra. The Restoration Begins!” he added.
