  • Media Tour: GNFS Engages Newly Established Media Stations In Northern Region

The Northern Regional Command of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has embarked on a working visit to selected newly established media organisations in the region as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration and promote fire safety awareness.

The exercise, undertaken by the Command’s Public Relations Department on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, was aimed at enhancing familiarisation and building a stronger working relationship between the Fire Service and media organisations across the Northern Region.

The delegation was led by the Northern Regional Public Relations Officer of the GNFS, ADO I Hudu Baba, who engaged the management of the various media houses on areas of cooperation, particularly in public education, fire prevention and emergency awareness.

During the interactions, management of the media stations expressed their readiness to support the activities of the Ghana National Fire Service by providing platforms for sustained public education and other initiatives aimed at improving fire safety and protecting lives and property.

Media organisations visited during the tour included Tolon Radio and Tolon TV, Zosimli Radio, North Citi Radio and Nsaha (My Time) Radio.

The team also visited Radio Tamale, an existing media organisation which has recently relocated to a new premises.

The GNFS Northern Regional Command believes stronger collaboration with the media will help broaden the reach of its fire safety campaigns and contribute to building safer and more informed communities across the region.
