Nana Boateng Gyimah, chief executive of Tribe Culture Fest, has challenged Sports Minister Kofi Adams over allegations of visa fraud linked to Ghana’s arrangements for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Gyimah rejected the minister’s claim that the organisation had fraudulently received funds, describing the allegation as reckless, prejudicial and baseless.
His response disputes both the accusation concerning the funds and the minister’s characterisation of Tribe Culture Fest’s involvement in the World Cup arrangements.
At the centre of the disagreement is how the organisation’s role has been presented. While the minister’s allegation links Tribe Culture Fest to wrongdoing, Gyimah maintains that the description is unfounded.
The chief executive’s position amounts to a rejection of the allegation, rather than an acceptance that the organisation improperly obtained money through its involvement in the arrangements.
The dispute places Tribe Culture Fest’s involvement in Ghana’s World Cup arrangements under scrutiny, with the organisation’s chief executive firmly contesting the suggestion that it fraudulently received funds.
