Choggu Yapalsi FC have emerged champions of the Kiss Condom-Radio Tamale Gala Tournament after an exciting one-day competition involving eight communities in the Tamale metropolis.

The tournament, held at the SIC Quarters Park in Kakpayili, brought together teams from Sagnarigu, Karaga, Kulnyevila, Kakpagyili, Choggu Yapalsi, Nyohani, Gumani and Moshi Zongo.

The competition, organised through a collaboration between Kiss Condom and Radio Tamale 91.7, provided an opportunity for young people from the participating communities to showcase their football talents while promoting community engagement and healthy social interaction.

Choggu Yapalsi produced a strong performance throughout the tournament to secure the ultimate prize, overcoming competition from the other participating communities.

The event attracted football enthusiasts, residents and supporters from the participating communities, creating an atmosphere of excitement and community participation.

The organisers described the tournament as part of efforts to strengthen community engagement and provide platforms for young people to participate in sporting activities.

The successful completion of the tournament is expected to pave the way for similar community-based initiatives aimed at promoting sports, youth participation and social development across the metropolis.
