  • NDC Congratulates Newly Elected Branch And Constituency Officers, Calls For Unity Ahead Of 2028 Elections

The Northern Regional Secretariat of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has congratulated newly elected branch and constituency executives across the Northern Region following the successful conclusion of the party’s internal elections.

In a congratulatory press statement dated October 25, 2026, and signed by the Northern Regional Secretary, Mohammed Abdul-Salam a.k.a King Salam, the secretariat commended the newly elected officers and urged them to demonstrate humility, fairness and inclusive leadership in the discharge of their responsibilities.

The statement described the election of the new officers as a clear expression of confidence reposed in them by party members, stressing the need for the executives to serve as unifying forces within their respective branches and constituencies.

The regional secretariat also extended words of encouragement to unsuccessful candidates, acknowledging their willingness to serve the party and describing their participation as an important contribution to the NDC’s democratic tradition.

According to the statement, losing an election does not diminish the value of any candidate or their place within the party, adding that the NDC continues to require the experience, energy and commitment of all members to advance its political objectives.

The secretariat further expressed appreciation to supporters, delegates and party faithful for their participation in the electoral process, noting that their peaceful conduct and commitment contributed to the successful organisation of the elections.
