The Ghana Library Authority (GhLA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the AfCFTA Young Entrepreneurs Federation (AfYEF) to support the development of the John Dramani Mahama Presidential Library and Legacy Centre (JDM-PLLC).

The partnership is expected to provide technical support for the establishment and development of the library, archives, research and knowledge components of the proposed centre.
Under the collaboration, the Ghana Library Authority will contribute its expertise to help shape the knowledge infrastructure of the project, with emphasis on preserving records, promoting research and improving access to educational and information resources.

The Authority says the partnership forms part of its broader commitment to promoting literacy and expanding access to knowledge, while ensuring that libraries remain relevant and accessible spaces for learning, research and knowledge-sharing.
The initiative is also expected to contribute to the expansion of the reach and footprint of library services, particularly in Northern Ghana, by creating opportunities for greater access to information and knowledge resources.

The Ghana Library Authority believes the collaboration presents an opportunity to connect legacy and knowledge in ways that can support education, research, entrepreneurship and personal development.
The JDM Presidential Library and Legacy Centre is envisaged as a platform for preserving historical records and promoting learning and research, while creating opportunities for the next generation to engage with knowledge and Ghana's institutional and political history.

The Ghana Library Authority has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that preserve important legacies, advance knowledge and empower future generations.
The partnership is anchored on the principle: “From Legacy to Knowledge, From Knowledge to Opportunity.”
